Instead, it feels like I'm beta-testing an early release.The big news this time around is that we’re now in the beta period for NVDA 2023.1, so let’s start there: ![]() I mean, I get that software is never going to be perfect, but when you're paying top dollar for a professional tool like Maya 2024, you expect it to at least be stable and reliable. And half the time, restarting the software doesn't even fix the problem. Even with a powerful computer, Maya 2024 can't seem to handle the load.Īnd don't even get me started on the bugs! Sometimes I'll be working on a scene and all of a sudden things just stop working - tools won't activate, objects disappear, you name it. And forget about trying to work on a complex scene with lots of geometry and textures - that's just asking for trouble. It's like every time I try to do anything in Maya 2024, I'm rolling the dice on whether or not the software is going to cooperate. And don't even get me started on the random freezes and lag spikes that seem to happen for no reason. Every time I try to open a file, it takes forever and sometimes just crashes without warning. ![]() Ugh, don't even get me started on Maya 2024! This software is supposed to be the industry standard for 3D animation, but it's so unstable it's ridiculous.
